Children's Annual Events

This class is offered to all 3rd graders in preparation of receiving Bibles from Covenant.  The class is held on Sunday mornings, 9:45-10:45 am, from March-May.  Children are encouraged to participate regularly. Upon completion new NIV Children?s Bibles will be presented to each child.  Any 4th or 5th graders who have not taken the class are welcome to join.   

Held the Saturday before Easter this activity provides a time for children up to the 5th grade to hear the Easter message through songs, story, craft activities and games.  The event ends with a hunt for Easter eggs.

2012 event will be held April 7, 11:00 - noon at Covenant.   

VBS is held one week each summer and offers opportunities for children to learn about the love of God in a variety of ways.  There is never a dull moment at VBS. 

This year's VBS will be held July 8-12, 6:00-8:30 pm.

Covenant participates in the Indiana Conference camping program.  To get complete information go to www.beacamper.com.  Registrations made after April 19th will have additional fees, so early registration is recommended.  Covenant will pay half the cost of camp for active participants of Covenant UMC.  The scholarships will be based on the early bird registration fees.    

Registration is simple, just follow these steps: 

1. Secure an i-cash card from Marlene Fenstermacher 
2. Go online to www.beacamper.com to register 
3. Complete the registration process.  You will need to pay half the cost of camp at that time, so have a credit card ready. (You will input the i-cash account number during registration to take care of the church?s half of the cost.) 
4. Forward your e-mail confirmation to Marlene Fenstermacher .

The following weeks have been chosen for our campers.  You are encouraged to use these weeks to be with your Covenant friends, but it is not required. 

Children from the Covenant community present a retelling of the Christmas story at a Sunday evening service in December.  This is a wonderful way for children to experience the Christmas story and to share with others the message of God?s love. 

The 2012 Children's Christmas Pageant will be held December 9,  6:30 pm.
