Covenant E-Newsletter Guidelines

(weekly email newsletter)

The purpose of the Covenant E-Newsletter is to keep the Covenant community informed of current events and timely news. Four to five stories will be featured each week. In addition there will be links to Covenant Community News (thank yous, births, baptisms, birthdays, prayer requests, monthly financial statements, etc), monthly volunteer assignments, the calendar, and more detailed reports and stories from ministry teams, staff, etc.

The Covenant Newsletter will be emailed each Thursday afternoon.

The deadline to submit news items will be 1 week prior to publication date. All news items must be submitted electronically to the Office Email (pictures are welcome as well)

Please remember to get the most important information (who, what, where, when) in the first paragraph of your article as only the first 450 characters (each letter, punctuation mark and space is counted) are visible in the actual email with a link to click for the rest of the story.

Tidings Guidelines

(monthly paper newsletter)

The purpose of the Tidings is to provide information that is published in the emailed newsletter to those who do not have access to the internet.

The Tidings will be published once a month mailed to homes the last week of the month prior to publication date.

The deadline to submit news items is the 3^rd Friday of the month prior to publication date (there are some exceptions so please check the Tidings deadline schedule). All news items must be submitted electronically to the Office Email .

The contents of the Tidings includes :

• cover features (current news, events and activities)
• Covenant Community News (thank yous, births, baptisms, prayer requests)
• monthly volunteer assignments
• calendar
• birthdays
• monthly financial statements
• two ministry team reports or stories (see schedule below)
