Daily Prayers Explanation

“Seven times a day do I praise thee” (Psalm 119:164) is the original basis for praying throughout the day.  The Jewish practice of saying prayers seven times a day was adopted by early Christians during the first century.  The system developed gradually, but had already achieved what was to become its definitive form of praying every 3 hours by the mid-sixth century, when it was incorporated into the rule of St. Benedict.  Many Christians today find great comfort when practicing this discipline of prayer.

At Covenant we hope you will find comfort in listening to and praying the morning, noon and evening prayers.  We pray it will refresh your soul.
