The Tapestry

A collective of United Methodist Churches in northeast Indiana

At Covenant United Methodist Church, we are a part of a collective of United Methodist churches known as The Tapestry, and as a part of The Tapestry

"We are committed to being “Not Alone” together and working toward not reimagining the future alone.

Believing that our connection is not bound by church names and locations, we seek to meet the needs of our communities.  The local church is the hope of the world, and through the United Methodist Church’s rich tradition of connectionalism, we can utilize the collective resources of partnered churches that covenant together to increase one anothers’ capabilities and capacities so that together we can accomplish more than we can individually to the end of making disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.

We are living in a moment of amazing possibility and are in a season of permission to explore and develop new approaches which build upon the work that has gone before. The church is a vessel which changes while the message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, the author of grace, never changes. The collective is an example of this. This was not an effort put forth out of desperation or despair but of strength and hope. God is doing a new thing and seeking new wine skins.   What follows is imperfect, yet we are seeking to proactively move forward in faithfulness, so we can meet the needs of an ever-changing culture." - excerpt from The Tapestry Playbook

As we work together, we continue to strive to collaborate, share resources, and dream together of new ways to do ministry as partner churches.

These partner churches include:

Covenant United Methodist Church

First Wayne Street United Methodist Church
